At Roanoke River Buck Grub, our story started the same way a lot of good ideas do — out in the woods, frustrated. After years of trying store-bought deer feeds that just didn’t seem to draw deer the way they should, we decided it was time to do something about it.

With over 30 years of experience as an outfitter, we’ve spent countless mornings and evenings in the field watching deer behavior, studying what they actually eat, and testing dozens of different grain combinations and blends. Season after season, we experimented, adjusted, and refined until we found a feed that deer consistently return to and benefit from.

This isn’t some mass-produced formula dreamed up in a boardroom. It’s the result of years of hands-on trial, long days in the woods, and a genuine passion for healthy wildlife and strong deer herds.
